What this is

Quad Cities Home Pros lists home-service contractors serving Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, East Moline, Rock Island and the surrounding communities on both sides of the river. Plumbers, roofers, HVAC, electricians, and the other trades a homeowner needs once or twice a decade and has no easy way to compare.

It is a directory, not a marketplace. You find a business, then you contact that business. Nothing routes through us.

Why it exists

Searching for a contractor in a metro this size returns a mix of national lead-generation sites, supply houses, businesses ninety miles away, and the occasional actual local contractor. Sorting that out is work, and it is the same work for every homeowner, every time.

The useful thing a local directory can do is not list more businesses than everyone else. It is to leave things out — and to be straight about what it left out and why. That is what the listing standards page is for.

How it makes money

Businesses can pay for a labelled Sponsored placement at the top of a category page. That is the whole business model, and it is deliberately the kind you can see.

We do not sell leads. Your phone number and the details of what you need are not a product here, and contacting a business through this site does not put you on a list that gets sold to four of its competitors.

Paying does not move a business up the standard listings, and declining to pay does not move it down. The ordering is calculated from the same factors for everyone, written out on the disclosure page.

Listings are compiled from public business information, so you may be listed without having signed up. You can claim your listing to correct it and add details, or ask us to take it down — removal is intentionally the easiest thing to do, because we listed you without asking first.

What we are not

We have not visited these businesses, hired them, or inspected their work. A listing is not a recommendation and a high position is not a guarantee. Where we have checked something specific — a licence number, a phone number — the listing says so and says which. Where we have not, it does not claim otherwise.

Always confirm licensing and insurance yourself before hiring. Requirements differ across the river: Illinois licenses plumbers and roofers at state level, while Iowa requires most residential contractors to register with the state.
